18 Month Stats and Such
Dear Uncle Rich-
Naomi just had her 18 month appointment. She got so angry after her shot she decided she would try to gain sympathy by looking sad, pointing to where they gave her the shot and saying "owww". It worked. People were asking her if she was okay and telling her shots were no fun. She was soaking up all the attention. She is now 31.5 inches tall and weighs 18 pounds 13 ounces. Dr Fox said she just might have that horrible disease where she can eat anything she wants and not gain a pound. Remind you of anyone? She is talking up a storm and loves to say prayers. It goes a little something like this "mannah wanah doori lallala balanbh dided, MEN!" We still can't get her to fold her arms. Whenever we ask her to fold her arms she starts doing the wheels on the bus motion instead. Either she is seriously confused, or just knows how to get attention. We expect the latter.
Tonight when D was on the phone I asked Naomi who it was and she said "uncle?" I told her it was not Uncle Rich and she looked down at her feet and said "uncle" in a really quiet voice. We are excited that you are serving the Lord and setting such a good example.
Love,
Dustin, Libby, and Naomi

Snow Fun!
It snowed! Finally! Not a lot, but enough to build a snowman. Just in case you are wondering I do still live in Utah, and yes January 9th was the first decent snowfall of the year. The sad thing is it was only about three or four inches. That is so pathetic for Utah! Regardless, Naomi did not miss out on the fun. She got to build a snowman with Papa. She was in absolute heaven as was Papa.

Christmas with Noni and Papa
We spent four days at my parents house for Christmas this year! It was great. Naomi sees my parents every week but it was fun to be there for an extended stay and watch Noni, Papa, and Auntie M dote on her. We had our Swedish feast with the Haglund's this year. Naomi had a blast with her aunts, uncles, and cousins. We woke up to a phone call from Elder Fetzer at nine o'clock on Christmas morning. It was fun for all of us. Naomi didn't talk to him much because she was busy looking at all of the presents under the tree. She was convinced they were all packages of cookies. While Naomi was admiring all the cookies under the tree we had a chance to talk to Rich. He sounds great! He loves his companion, and he loves serving the Lord. We can't wait for him to come home in September! After Richards call we headed to church. Church with an 18 month old is tough. For the first time since Naomi was born Dustin and I were able to sit through sacrament meeting while my Dad took care of Naomi. It was wonderful. When we got home from church we changed into our pajamas and started opening presents. The only thing Naomi really cared about was the ribbons on the package and the giraffe that Auntie M gave her.
Later that evening we went to visit my Grandma Fetzer. She is 101 years old and absolutely wonderful! I cherish the time we get to spend with her and Naomi sure put a smile on her face. I am grateful for such a wonderful family that loves us unconditionally.

Good Idea.....or was it?
The frames turned out really cute. We included five pictures of Naomi and had her decorate the package with stickers once it was wrapped.

Zoo Lights
The Hogle Zoo puts on an amazing light display during the Christmas season. The whole zoo is lit up with different light displays. Naomi's favorite was the crocodile whose mouth moved and Santa in his sleigh. They also had live Reindeer, Dasher and Vixen to be precise. To make the light displays even more amazing you can purchase glasses (J is wearing them in the picture) that make all the lights look like snowflakes. It was really cold, but nothing could deter us from riding the carousel and seeing the lights. We were able to see a few of the animals and try out the fried s'mores. They sound way better than they taste so we ended up getting the kids fries instead. What a great night out with two great kids.

Park...we will miss you
We live across the street from a park and take full advantage of it. During the summer we were at the park at least twice a day. Naomi calls the park "slide" and loves the freedom of being able to walk around the big open space it has to offer. It is starting to get really chilly, so we went to the park to snap some pictures of Naomi. We will miss the park once the snow starts to fall but await warmer weather in a few months.
